Ugly Christmas Sweater.com has Teamed up with Project Runway Designers to Raise Money for Charity
UglyChristmasSweater.com has teamed up with several of the designers from the hit Bravo/Lifetime Network reality-television series Project Runway to raise money for two much-deserving charities this 2015 holiday season.
We've enlisted the help of the Project Runway designers to raise money, firstly, for Leave No Paws Behind, a California-based 401 charity which is a animal rescue that focuses in on helping special needs, senior, and terminally-ill animals who have been abandoned in animal shelters. Leave No Paws Behind rescues this animals and rehabilitates them via foster care.
Secondly, UglyChristmasSweater.com is further interested in raising funds for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, which is a world-wide research foundation aimed at prevention and cure research toward breast cancer.
These are both charities that we're really in strong support of, and we'd like to raise as much money as we can to help both of them in this holiday season. We've enlisted the help of the Project Runway designers to create truly one-of-a-kind ugly Christmas sweaters for both humans and pets in an attempt to auction them off through our partner site Bidding for Good with one-hundred percent of the auction proceeds going directly to both of these much-deserving charities.
We've enlisted the help of:
Bradon McDonald – Season 12
Sarah Trost – Season 8
Irina Shabayeva – Season 6 Winner
Shirin Askari – Season 6
Christopher Straub – Season 6
Carol Hannah – Season 6
Leanne Marshall – Season 5 Winner
Stella Zotis – Season 5
Patricia Michaels – Season 11 Runner-Up
Christopher Palu – Season 10
Mondo Guerra – Season 8 Runner-Up
Peach Carr – Season 8
Samantha Plasencia – Season 13
Each designer was sent a blank red sweater and asked to re-purpose it. Each designer has taken great care in re-fashioning the sweater, cutting it up, sewing it, adding creatures to it, add other fabrics ect...
There will be several different sizes available that will encompass all breeds of dogs via the auction, so regardless of whether you own a small-breed dog or a large one, our Project Runway Ugly Christmas Sweater auction for charity will be accessible to all. In addition, our human sweaters will also be one-of-a-kind designs as well.
The auction begins Monday, December 7 at 8 a.m. EST at and will remain live through December 18 at 10 p.m. EST with our partner Bidding For Good.
